Memorial Cottage This cottage has been
preserved in its original state, with a
plethora of mementos from Stevenson's life.
(July 1 through September 15 only, closed
Mondays. Hours: 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm.)
USA Luge, located on Church Street in
Lake Placid, is an international center
for luge athletes. Visit for the tour and
learn more about the Olympic history of
Lake Placid.
Visitor Interpretive
Center at Paul Smiths, Paul Smith's
College is a local educational institution
that specializes in ecological studies.
A visit here gives lots of interesting information
about the ecology of the Adirondacks, its
trail systems; and the Center even has a

Saranac Lake Winter
Carnival We have lots of great information
on the Winter Carnival, which takes place
every February in the park, right across
from Amanda's Village Motel.
Lake Placid Center for the Arts Lake
Placid offers a treasure in the way of fine
arts, and much of it takes place here, at
the Lake Placid Center for the Arts. Enjoy
the visual art exhibitions and stage productions,
and get acquainted with area artists.
